ImprovBlox: Crafting the Craft

Saturday, October 29, 2022

Our ImprovBlox are 6-week courses covering advanced Improv topics introduced in Improv Basics. Crafting the Craft covers putting all of your advanced improv skills into practice, concentrating on group mind and stagecraft. Build cohesive communication with your teammates and learn to own the whole stage while you perform!

Group Mind

Team building with an end focus on the group mind. Find the scene that’s already present, find the “game in the game”, make everything matter, and trust that your scene partner is doing the same. Eliminate barriers between characters and egos.

Stagecraft

Build confidence in your skills to create and maintain scenes, working within an ensemble. Understand how to use your body and physical presence to advance your scenes. Learning how your characters can relate to each other is the magical ingredient that will create compelling, relatable, and entertaining scenes.

Note: class will not meet on November 26 (Thanksgiving Weekend).
