KidBlox – Improv Workshop

Sunday, June 30, 2024
1:30 - 4:00 pm MST
improv camp

Improv’s not just for the adults anymore! Now kids can share the joys of making stuff up in an afternoon improv camp.

Open to students in grades 6-8, students will explore the basic elements of improv that are covered in our Improv Basics class for adults.  These core elements include: agreement, listening, team work, and making honest and organic choices.

We will then progress to the introduction of various improv games and scene work that encourages values such as building trust, improving communication skills, character development, and the selflessness of making your scene partner look good.

Presented in a safe and encouraging environment, surrounded by experienced, patient, and FUNNY instructors, your kids will have the chance to bring out their inner goofball. Plus, it’s going to be So. Much. Fun!

We’ll show off what we’ve learned to the grown-ups as the workshop concludes.

Schedule

  • 1:30 – 3:30pm: Workshop. Learn and practice improv fundamentals
  • 3:30pm: Show off what we’ve learned to your grown-ups!

Note

We are offering two KidBlox Workshops on June 30. If you wish to enroll your kids in both Workshops, please know that should we run out of space, kids who are only enrolled in one workshop will take priority.
