Justify with heart, reveal with intention, and let emotional truth lead.
Great improv doesn’t stand alone on clever ideas, it’s built upon your foundation of specific choices, truthful emotional logic, and justification that actually reveals character instead of patching plot holes.
Let go of cleverness… and let emotional honesty carry the scene.
This intensive drills performers in:
- Building meaning through specificity
- Justifying with emotional logic instead of plot logic
- Showing the truth behind the line
- Reacting with humanity, not cleverness
- Turning choices into character, and character into momentum
- Committing emotionally and playing truthfully in imaginary circumstances
This class is intended for improvisers with established scenework experience who are ready for a more intensive and emotionally grounded challenge. Not recommended for beginning students.
