Support Roles often are undermined in their concrete ability to heighten and enhance a scene to its full potential. This workshop will allow you to look at the scene from a whole new angle via different avenues of supporting what is already there by adding to the scene via entrances, exits, walk-ons, background, and atmosphere. Find purpose, timing, and voice in your supporting roles.
About Celeste Pechous
Celeste Pechous has been kicking the comedy improv tires for the last two decades. As an alumna of the National Touring Company with Second City, Pechous performed comedy all over the world. She has trained and performed at the Second City, iO Chicago/LA, and The Annoyance. Pechous is a series regular, playing Campbell, on Showtime’s critically acclaimed dark comedy: Work in Progress. Other TV credits include Upload, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Carol’s Second Act, The Kenan Show, Masters of Sex, Workaholics, Review, Hot in Cleveland, Get Shorty, Sharp Objects, Pearson, and One Day at a Time. She can be seen in the feature film Seberg and HBO’s upcoming Made For Love. Pechous was awarded the most outstanding performer at The SNAFF Film Festival for her work in the dark-comedy short, Past Due, based on her short story. Pechous resides, teaches, and improvises in Los Angeles.
